23 Apr 2012 - 26 Apr 2012

Megaron Athens International Conference Centre (Megaron AICC), Athens, Greece

The Transport Research Arena (TRA) 2012 aimed to enable the exchange of knowledge among those who play an active role in the transport sector and to promote the dissemination of research findings, best practice, and application techniques that have been successfully implemented in some parts of the world. At the same time, it provided experts from different disciplines in both the public and private sectors (researchers, practitioners, designers, constructors, operators, administrators, etc) with a forum for creative discussions about the future of transport.
The main theme of TRA 2012 was Sustainable mobility through innovation, emphasising on the issues of climate change, CO2 reduction, fuel efficiency and supply. The event covered a wide spectrum of research and innovation activities, from basic sciences to application oriented engineering and represent social, technical and economic aspects, as well as policy and standards.
